4.0 Magical Kether

Chesed Ritual

I have two thoughts for you on how to connect ritually to Geburah energy.

Option 1

Create.  Paint, dance, sculpt, write.  Take some passion from your soul and give it outward expression.  Invoke Geburah first.  Release with appreciation the Geburah energy at the end.

Option 2

  1. Acquire a cheap mask
  2. Create sacred space with the mask and a mirror inside of it
  3. Put on the mask, as you would put on one or all the masks that you wear in the world, all of the roles of child, parent, employee, manager, friend, professional, hobbyist, etc.
  4. Sit/stand before the mirror.  See the mask that you wear.
  5. Invoke the Geburah energy
  6. Allow it in to break through the barrier of the mask, to remove the barriers and the illusions and the cover between our eternal self and our temporary self of day-to-day life.
  7. Express the impact of the Geburah energy into the mask itself – remove it, destroy it, do whatever the ritual needs from you in order to complete the removal of the mask(s).
  8. See yourself without the mask(s) in the mirror.  See your true(er) self.  Take this in and allow the experience to affect you.
  9. Release the geburah energy with appreciation.
  10. Close the sacred space.

4.0 Magical Tifareth

Tifareth Ritual

For Tifareth I recommend walking a labyrinth for the ritual.

It can be an existing labyrinth (some churches have a labyrinth, trying googling labyrinths in your area); or you can make a basic labyrinth yourself out of rope, a biodegradable substance such as cornmeal or by drawing it in a substance such as sand on a beach; or you can walk a simple spiral.  If movement is an issue, print out a labyrinth or a spiral and trace it with your finger.

Because in the end, a labyrinth, irregardless of the number of turns it has, is ultimately a path that leads inward with no choices.  Once at the centre, there is only the same, singular way out.

When you stand at the entryway, at the beginning spot (even if just walking an unseen spiral), ask yourself a Tifareth question, such as “what do I need to learn from Tifareth?” or “where do I experience false pride?” or meditate on one of the magical images of Tifareth as you walk or explore where you experience Beauty or Harmony in your life.

When you reach the centre, take the time to be there, to allow it to fill you, to experience what you learned on the way in.

As you reverse your steps and walk out the way you came, what does this answer mean to you?  How does it affect you?  How can it be integrated back into your daily life?  How can it bring you closer to Harmony?
