Welcome to the fifth tea of the course! Sometimes journeys seem to take forever and sometimes when we look back it can be a surprise to realize how far we’ve come already.
We have travelled from the base, the Kingdom, through the Foundation and are now balancing off our Victory and our Glory. From here we travel into Harmony, making this an excellent time to find the extent we need to explore in Netzach to balance, and find harmony with, our Hod.
We are now at the base of the Pillar of Mercy, exploring the other side of our first “pairings” (where there are two spheres opposite each other on the tree). We are balancing glory with victory (do you sense a great contemplative topic in here? I do – and in how we need to look beyond our basic concepts of those words and find their breadth and application to this very spiritual endeavour).
So let us take this contemplation, and others, and explore Netzach deeper. Let’s talk about it, contemplate it, play with it!
As usual, there are four lessons or exercises if you prefer in this week. They can be done together, as in all of them contemplated (if alone) or discussed (if working this in a group) all on the same day, or you can spread them out over the week as works for you.
For those who will be doing tea like I will, here’s the things to keep in mind:
- Wear some form of green to connect with the (Queen’s) colour of Netzach
- Tea suggestion (mine are added to a rooibos base) **always take care that there are no allergies with what you choose to use**. Use all or some of the following:
- rose buds
- rose hips
- spearmint or bergamot
- Netzach oil blend:
- (optional) add additional rose types: palmarosa, rose geranium, rosewood
- Optional (well, it’s all optional, but this item is particularly so): dress (anoint) a green candle with the oil, to burn during the tea, to help bring connection to the contemplation/discussion.
Anoint self with oil.
Do the meditation.
Contemplate/discuss Netzach while drinking tea.
